This series of engines are usually to be found on large walk behind rotary lawnmowers and compact ride-on mowers
They are Overhead Valve (OHV) with the spark plug located fairly deep to the side of the rocker cover
The exhaust is mounted on the right when veiwed from behind the engine with the carburettor and air filter on the left
The plastic fuel tank wraps around the rear left hand corner of the engine with the fuel cap just behind the air filter cover
Above the carburettor is a plastic cannister which holds the pear shaped air filter cartridge
The oil dipstick is located in the rear right hand corner (viewed from behind the engine)
The Model, Type and Code numbers are stamped into the engine's pressed steel rocker cover or on a flat steel plate over the exhaust.
The Model number will begin either 11,12 or 14.
