(The Briggs & Stratton CLASSIC, SPRINT, QUATTRO vertical crankshaft side valve engines also known as L- head engines. This type of engine is normally fitted to walk behind equipment.
These engines have a sponge air cleaner either Yellow or Green, a metal tank with the carburettor mounted directly to the petrol tank and ALL have a primer system for starting the engine from cold.
